USABO / Biology Olympiad Tutor

**Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated USABO / Biology Olympiad Tutor to teach middle and high school students preparing for USABO, advanced biology competitions, and AP Biology. The ideal candidate has strong subject mastery in advanced biology, competition\-level problem solving skills, and the ability to guide ambitious students through rigorous content, practice, and exam strategies. This is a remote teaching role with flexible scheduling. **Key Responsibilities:** * Deliver high\-quality online lessons for students preparing for USABO / Biology Olympiad and advanced biology study * Customize instruction based on each student’s level, goals, and competition timeline * Teach advanced topics such as cell biology, genetics, molecular biology, physiology, ecology, evolution, and experimental reasoning * Guide students through Olympiad\-style problem solving, critical thinking, and test\-taking strategies * Assign and review homework, practice sets, and mock assessments * Track student progress and provide regular academic feedback * Communicate professionally with students, parents, and academic coordinators * Use online teaching tools such as Zoom, Google Classroom, and digital whiteboards effectively **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree or above in Biology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Medicine, or related field * Strong mastery of advanced biology at Olympiad/AP level * Prior experience in USABO, IBO, Biology Olympiad, or similar competitions as a competitor, tutor, coach, or instructor * At least 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience in biology or related subjects * Strong ability to explain complex concepts clearly and logically * Excellent communication skills and professional reliability * Comfortable teaching online and managing remote student engagement **Preferred Qualifications:** * Master’s degree or PhD in a related field * Experience teaching both USABO and AP Biology * Experience working with high\-achieving students in competitive academic settings * Bilingual ability in English and Mandarin Chinese is a plus * Availability during weekday evenings and/or weekends **Compensation:** Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications. **To Apply:** Please send your resume, a brief introduction of your teaching/competition background, and any relevant experience in USABO / Biology Olympiad / AP Biology instruction.
