Job Description

**Job Description:** ThunderYard is seeking a highly skilled **Salesforce Developer/Architect** to support grants management initiatives for the U.S. Department of the Treasury. This role will lead the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce\-based solutions to support federal grants programs, ensuring scalability, compliance, and alignment with Treasury mission objectives. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in **Salesforce architecture and development**, along with experience supporting **grants management or public sector programs**. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design scalable Salesforce solutions to support end\-to\-end **grants management lifecycle** (application, review, award, monitoring, closeout) * Define system architecture, data models, integrations, and security frameworks * Ensure alignment with federal compliance, security, and data governance standards * Provide technical leadership and best practices for Salesforce platform usage **Development:** * Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce * Configure Salesforce features including workflows, flows, validation rules, and custom objects * Build and maintain integrations with external systems (e.g., financial systems, grants platforms, APIs) * Optimize system performance, scalability, and maintainability **Grants Management Support:** * Implement and enhance Salesforce solutions tailored to grants programs * Support automation of grants processes, reporting, and compliance tracking * Collaborate with stakeholders to translate grants program requirements into technical solutions **Collaboration \& Delivery:** * Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and federal stakeholders to deliver solutions * Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to backlog refinement and sprint planning * Support testing (unit, integration, UAT) and deployment activities * Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer **Required Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field * 5\+ years of Salesforce development experience * 2\+ years of Salesforce architecture or solution design experience * Strong expertise in **Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Salesforce APIs** * Experience designing and implementing complex Salesforce data models and integrations * Experience supporting **federal government or public sector clients** * Strong understanding of secure system design and data protection practices * Excellent problem\-solving and communication skills * Ability to obtain and maintain a **Public Trust clearance** (or higher) **Preferred Requirements:** * Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, System Architect) * Experience with **Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS)** or grants management modules * Familiarity with federal grants processes and **2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance)** * Experience integrating Salesforce with financial or grants systems (e.g., ASAP, GrantSolutions) * Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and integration tools (MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs) * Experience with DevOps tools (Copado, Gearset, Git\-based workflows) **Compensation:** The salary is budgeted at $150,000\-$170,000 annually, plus benefits.
