Online STEM Instructor

STEM Center USA provides virtual, hands\-on STEM and coding classes for migratory students across California, Colorado, and Arizona. We are looking to expand our team with high\-energy STEM instructors that are excited to interface with students. No robotics or coding experience is necessary for this position. All new hires will go through a 20\-30 hour training program prior to working with students. The Migrant Education Program works with students in K \- 12th grade from regions such as Bakersfield, Monterey, Riverside, and more. * **About the Migrant Education Program (MEP):** This federally funded program is focused on providing migratory students with learning opportunities related to mathematics and english standards. STEM Center USA partners with 24\+ regions and districts nationwide to provide students in K\-12th grade with hands\-on summer programs while also integrating core math and ELA/ELD concepts. Summer programs typically run Monday \- Friday between the hours of 8 AM PST \- 4:30 PM PST. No robotics or coding experience is necessary, we will train you on this! The position includes: Training Dates: May 18, 2026 \- May 31, 2026 (synchronous and asynchronous hours) Work Dates: June 1, 2026 \- July 10, 2026 * Seasonal Hours Option 1: (\~6 \- 10 hours, Monday \- Friday) * Seasonal Hours Option 2: (\~10 \- 20 hours, Monday \- Friday) Hourly Rate: $25 \- $30/hour \*hourly rate is dependent on your training and credentials. **Requirements**: * Must have access to a room/space that can be used to virtually teach classes using Zoom * Must have your own laptop/technology that be be used to virtually teach classes using Zoom **Who are we looking for**: The ideal online STEM instructor is someone that is excited to work with students and introduce them to STEM concepts. No prior experience in coding is required, however experience working with children is recommended. Credentialed teachers looking for summer hours (up to 20 hours/week) are highly needed. In addition, we accept undergrad and graduate students, as well as working professionals.
