This **long\-term position offers both part\-time and full\-time opportunities**, depending on the candidate's qualifications and the program's needs. Successful applicants will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, student\-centred learning, and supporting students’ academic and personal development. * **Mathematics** (e.g., Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, Data Management) * **Sciences** (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science) \*\*\*Experience in **course development, curriculum design, or creation of instructional materials** is **highly preferred**, as the role may involve contributing to the enhancement of our OSSD courses and academic programs. **Teaching Hours:** * From 8:00 to 10:00 PM and/or 10:00\-12:00 AM (EST) **Responsibilities:** * **Curriculum Delivery and Instruction**: * Deliver engaging, high\-quality instruction in alignment with Ontario’s Ministry of Education curriculum. * Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. * Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning. * **Student Assessment and Progress Tracking**: * Prepare formal and informal report cards for each student during scheduled reporting periods. * Assign, monitor, and assess homework, quizzes, projects, and examinations to evaluate students' understanding and progress. * Provide constructive feedback and academic support to help students reach their full potential. * **Administrative Responsibilities**: * Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date attendance records and document any absences or health\-related issues. * Adhere to school policies for record\-keeping and confidentiality regarding student information. * **Professional Collaboration**: * Actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required. * Work closely with other educators, administrators, and support staff to foster a collaborative environment. * **Student Guidance and Communication**: * Educate students on school policies, moral standards, and behavioural expectations. * Communicate with guidance teachers to discuss individual student progress, challenges, and achievements. * Support the social and emotional well\-being of students, encouraging responsibility, integrity, and respect. **Qualifications:** * **Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certification**: Required. * **Experience**: At least one year of high school teaching experience, with expertise in Senior Math and Science. * **Skills**: * Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students. * Effective classroom management and organizational skills. * Ability to adapt instructional methods to diverse student needs and learning goals. Job Types: Full\-time, Part\-time Part\-time hours: 15 per week Pay: From $30\.00 per hour Experience: * Remote Teaching: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: * Ontario College of Teachers Certification (Required) Shift availability: * Night Shift (Required) Work Location: Remote
