English Teacher (Middle & High School – Reading & Writing Focus)

**Job Summary** We are seeking a passionate and experienced **Online English Teacher (Reading \& Writing)** for middle and high school students, primarily from Chinese bilingual and international schools. In this role, you will support students in developing strong academic literacy skills, including reading comprehension, analytical thinking, and structured writing. Many of our students are currently enrolled in international programs such as **IB MYP, DP, and AP**, and are looking to strengthen their English proficiency for academic success. You will deliver engaging online lessons, guide students in academic reading and writing, and help them build confidence in expressing their ideas clearly and effectively. This is a remote, flexible teaching opportunity within a collaborative and supportive teaching team. **Responsibilities** * Design and deliver engaging online lessons focused on **academic reading, writing, and critical thinking** * Support students in developing skills for **IB, AP, and international curriculum\-based writing tasks** * Provide clear and actionable feedback on student writing (structure, clarity, argumentation, and language use) * Guide students in analyzing nonfiction texts, articles, and academic materials * Mentor students in improving their **essay writing, argument development, and independent thinking** * Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of **high\-achieving bilingual learners** * Maintain a supportive and interactive online classroom environment * Collaborate with the curriculum team to refine lesson content and teaching approaches **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree or above in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field * Experience teaching middle or high school students in **reading and writing** * Familiarity with **IB (MYP/DP), AP, or international school curricula** is highly preferred * Strong understanding of **academic writing, text analysis, and critical thinking instruction** * Experience teaching **ESL/EAL students** or bilingual learners is a strong plus * Excellent communication skills and ability to engage students in an online setting * Comfortable using online teaching platforms and digital tools * Passion for helping students develop **independent thinking and academic confidence** Pay: $30\.00 \- $50\.00 per hour Work Location: Remote
